Since the dawn of time we all have been inflicted with the inner conflict of what we “should do,” verses what we “want to do.” WHY do we do that to ourselves?!? Just because a lot of people enjoy a long walk on the beach doesn’t mean that is a favorite for you or I. I say sprint down that beach and roll in the sand if it makes you happy and let the ones on the long walk enjoy their exfoliating stroll!
The idea of “should do’s” is a heavy weight to wear for any person, let alone a couple planning a celebration of their love…and lord know the second someone hears wedding bells they will directly or indirectly relay what they think you “should do.” How I see it is, every love story is different and every couple is unique so why stick to what you think you “should do” and do what makes our heart smile!
Thinking outside the box is a challenging just in general, there is always the nay sayers out there ready to watch a new idea or unorthodox concept fail. NEWS FLASH they will always be there but 8 times out of 10 the impact of something new and different is such a breath of fresh air that it will leaves an everlasting impression of gratitude from your guests!
Making your wedding celebration an embodiment of you and your persons style is exactly a “should do” in my book!

There are plenty of other ways to have a party without the strong stuff! Mix it up by having a morning wedding and a coffee and tea bar, or dare I say it a smoothy bar! You can add all sorts of treats even a soft serve ice cream station or shaved ice stands are all great ways to treat your guests!
